- Liberal Learning Requirements – Please note: Transfer students who have an associate’s degree from a New Jersey community college are exempt from Liberal Learning requirements. Transfer students who have completed at least 32 credits (8 course units) are exempt from the first-year seminar program (FSP) and the freshman community-engage learning (CEL) requirement.

- Career Services offers a variety of services and programs designed to assist students with career planning. The career planning process begins early in a student’s undergraduate career. A staff of professional career counselors provide individual counseling sessions designed to assist students in identifying their interests, skills, and values. This initial self-assessment helps students choose appropriate academic majors and identify career options. Students are encouraged to explore career options and develop professional skills and are assisted in securing internships, externships, and summer employment. A comprehensive placement program assists graduating seniors in finding employment. Students may also receive assistance in planning for graduate study. - The Pre-Law Advisory Committee offers pre-professional counseling in selection of courses to prepare for law school admission, choice of law schools, and preparation of applications for admission to law school. Available materials include a collection of law school catalogs, Law School Aptitude Test preparation materials, and other items of interest to pre-law students. - The Medical Careers Advisory Committee offers extensive advisement to students who which to pursue careers in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, optometry, podiatry, physical therapy, physician assistant and veterinary medicine. The committee assists students with the selection of courses to meet admission requirements of professional schools and with the selection of the best schools to meet the individual needs of the student. Assistance is also provided in preparing for professional school admission tests, in preparation and compilation of other materials required for the application, in preparing for interviews and in assembling financial aid information.
